Wooden Grades: What's The Difference?

Wood flooring is becoming more popular than ever. It's easy to understand why. Wood flooring adds elegance to any home and creates a timeless appeal.

Let's suppose you have decided to install wooden flooring. Then comes the question of what grade you should choose. This is something you will need to know before you can pick your flooring.

Prime/ A Grade

This grade of wood is low in knots which gives your space a contemporary, clean look. This option is great if you like the look and feel of wood but prefer something simpler and more clean. Prime grade flooring looks great in any interior.

Common/AB Grade

This grade will preserve the wood's natural beauty and provide all the necessary protection. It is more authentic and characterful than a classical grade but less rustic. The desired random variation of knots is retained while still maintaining a sleek look. The relaxed, neutral appearance of the knots would look great in a bedroom and living room where calmness is important.

These grades are very similar. However, there are subtle differences in colour variation and number of knots. If you want to get everything right, these grades will help.
